Symptoms may include but are not limited to; powerlessness, anxiety, hopelessness, paranoia, ever-increasing isolation from people and communities, the constant feeling that no one will listen or understand you.
If the viral fear around you has made its way inside of you then there is good news in the gospel. Jesus saves! He really does, and not just on the day you die, but today in this life. You can see the goodness of God even in this fallen world, this “land of the living” (Ps 27:13). That good news says that Jesus bought your spiritual, emotional, and physical renewal (Acts 3:8). He bought your rest (Heb. 4) and granted you access to your inheritance (Eph. 1:18). He made you a daughter or a son of the Heavenly Father (Eph. 3:20). With His life, He bought your immunity (Luke 10:19). He even restored your innocence (Col. 1:20).
Fear belongs to the other guys, the demons, the evil principalities, rulers, and Satan. They are the spiritual orphans who have no future, are eternally hopeless, and cycling down towards ever-increasing isolation and eternal shame, not us. Satan would like to keep us vulnerable, to infect us with ever-increasing mutant variants that keep us confused and living as victims who cannot overcome the cares of this cruel world. But Jesus!
When we accepted Jesus, we found the real vaccine! We found the cure for our terminal illness. Jesus connected us to eternal life. This vaccine isn’t just a cure for us however, once received it becomes a global conspiracy to give hope and new life to everything on the planet.
Do you need a free dose of Jesus right now? Take a moment right where you are to thank Jesus. Enter His gates with thanksgiving (Ps. 100:4). Find a moment right where you are and seek His face. Ask Him if you can give Him all your fears. Follow that act of surrender by asking Jesus what He will give you in exchange for it. Every gift will be unique because Jesus knows you personally. Believe and receive and allow it to take the place of where that fear was.
